Report Request: Cyber – Sustained Scattered Spider Activity Will Pose Increased Risks to High-profile Sectors in UK, US
Report
October 13, 2025
Jaguar Land Rover is the latest victim of the cyber-criminal group ‘Scattered Spider’.
The attack on 31 August prompted factories across the UK and the US to shut down for over a month; it cost Jaguar an estimated GBP 50 million (USD 66.6 million) a week.
Scattered Spider has been active since at least 2023. It has been responsible for several disruptive ransomware attacks in recent months, successfully compromising multiple high-profile UK- and US-based companies (including Co-op, M&S and Salesforce).
Due to the continuous development of its capabilities, Scattered Spider will pose an elevated risk for high-profile organisations over the medium-to-long term.
