Damian McMeekin is a Strategic Advisor to Sibylline.  Based in Melbourne, he is a senior international risk and issues management executive with experience in consulting, banking and diplomacy. He has been consulting since 2017, informing and advising corporate and government entities, funds, financial institutions and law firms internationally in the resources, finance, gaming, regulated industries and defence sectors in Australia, Asia, Europe and Africa.

From 2005 he was global head of security at the Australia & New Zealand Banking Group, with a mandate for the strategic and proactive management of threats including geopolitical risks.

He joined ANZ from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade where he had been a senior officer managing issues of national security and political and economic affairs from both Australian and international positions including postings to Hong Kong, Thailand, Papua New Guinea and Malaysia.

He was raised in Papua New Guinea, and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BA (Hons) in political science.
