Edward Johnson is the Head of Global Analysis at Sibylline. Based in London, Ed rejoined Sibylline in 2026. Utilising his commercial and analytical experience, he is responsible for Sibylline’s analytical product offerings and ongoing strategic innovation helping our clients to better understand an increasingly complex world.

Before returning to Sibylline in 2026, Ed had previously joined Sibylline in 2014 initially as a Eurasia analyst before progressing to manage Sibylline’s analytical team. Between 2022 and 2026, Ed worked for Control Risks heading a team of analysts focused on kidnap, threat and extortion risks globally.

Ed holds a BA and MA from UCL’s School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies. Between 2014 and 2017, Ed spent time living and conducting research in Ukraine, focusing on the role of political parties between 2010 and 2014.

Based in London, Ed lives with his wife Veronika. Away from work, Ed enjoys cooking, sport and spending time in the countryside.
