Michael Goble is the Associate Director of Embedded Operations. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Michael joined Sibylline in 2024 and leads the development and management of our embedded analysts, GSOCs, and specialist teams.  He is passionate about ensuring that the embedded teams are cared for and developed across all levels so they can focus on providing exceptional service for our clients. 

Michael began his career in 2004 with the United States Marine Corps, serving eight years in the special operations community to support the Global War on Terror. After transitioning to the private sector, he worked with Gavin de Becker and Associates, where he built and managed security and intelligence teams for some of the world’s most influential organisations and individuals. 

In 2016, Michael was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to support counterterrorism and counterintelligence operations abroad, undertaking over a dozen deployments in high-risk countries. In 2020, he joined Microsoft, managing the High-Risk Intelligence program under Cloud Operation and Innovation where he produced critical risk assessments for executive decision-making, covering hundreds of physical assets across dozens of countries. In early 2023, Michael began consulting on corporate security and intelligence programs, aiding large organisations in designing and implementing intelligence teams, corporate security functions, and internal GSOC and fusion centers.

Outside of work, Michael is an avid adventurer and extreme sports enthusiast, often training and traveling to conquer challenging environments. He splits his residence between Atlanta, Georgia where he resides with his two children, and Los Angeles, CA.
